Changes in the Federal Law “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” and in the Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation

We congratulate you with the beginning of the New business year and inform that changes in the Federal Law “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation” and in the Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation (Part 2 of Article 18.9) come into effect from January 16, 2019.
According to these changes, the host party shall take measures to ensure the timely departure of an invited foreign citizen outside the Russian Federation, as well as to ensure the compliance of his/her declared purpose of the entry into the Russian Federation with the activity or occupation actually carried out during the period of stay/residence in the Russian Federation.
